Who doesn't have e-mails nowadays? Like seriously?


AHA! You already knew today's topic? So, let's learn more about emails today! :)


What is e-mail?
Email is an electronic mail sent across the Internet and can be quickly delivered within minutes or seconds.


What are the advatages and disadvantages?


+ve
convenience, fast speed, inexpensive, printable, reliable, global, generality (Not limit to text. You can also attach files contain of graphics and documents.)


-ve
misdirection, interception, forgery, overload, funk (spamming), no response from receiver.

Back then, there's no verification through subscription on emails so people can use your e-mail to subscribe to anyone. However, things have changed- security improvement. You cannot deny that there will be so many changes 10 years from now, something that we couldn't even imagine right now. 

Certain email terms that you need to know:

1. Email address- electronic post office box
2. Email client- "a computer program used to access and manage a user's email" (Wiki, 2012). For example: Microsoft Outlook, Thunderbird 
3. Email server- basically works like a virtual post office where it has a storage for emails and set of rules on ways to respond to those emails.

There are so many things that you can do on your mailbox. I just found out something during our class last Wednesday. There are folders that can be made in your inbox~~~ XD is it just me...?

- SMTP (basic hantar mail) how it distributes depends on: 


 * POP (Post Office Protocol) , no copy, hilang dari server 
macam post office. lepas dah hantar takde simpan lagi dah. The good thing about this is you can access offline but once corrupt, selamat jalan romeo.


* IMAP almost the same with HTTP, keep emails on server but depends on types of account
 noted that if there are too many emails, server will overload.





Anyway, for newbies who want to create an e-mail, here are the easy steps on how to.

you might don't want your lecturer to think twice before sending you an email. :p

• - send a lengthy email might intimidate your receiver.

• - ALL CAPS. It reflects on shouting or yelling in general.
